Thrill Seeker Tour - Experience the thrills of this magical island!
This tour is designed especially for the more adventurous traveller, offering you a curated itinerary full of excitement, natural beauty and wondrous sights to behold. Within 09 days this tour will take you from the west coast of the island, up through the central hills of the island, descend through the wilds of Udawalawe, and culminate on the sunny beaches of the southern coastline.
In effect, you will not only see a difference in environments, but experience the varying climates available on a tiny island such as Sri Lanka. From the hot and humid temperatures of the low lying areas, through to the cold and wet cloud forests of the Knuckles Range, this tour promises you experiences you would never come to expect from a tiny little island in the Indian Ocean.
DAY 01 - AIR PORT – KANDY – KNUCKLES
Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport to a warm welcome from your chauffeur guide who will drive you to your first destination, the imposing Knuckles Range, via the hill capital of Kandy, the seat of the last King of Sri Lanka.
After lunch, depart for the formidable Knuckles Range in the central highlands, named for its visual similarity to the knuckles on a closed fist, and check into your eco-friendly accommodation for some much deserved rest and relaxation before your adventure begins.

DAY 02 – KNUCKLES – MEEMURE TREK
After breakfast embark on a scenic and visually spectacular hike through the hills and cloud forests of the Knuckles Range with its spattering of waterfalls and streams along the way to Meemure and visit the village of Kaikawela. The road comes to an end at Meemure, and the trek to the village gives you ample evidence of the rich history of this area. On the way up glimpse the imposing Lakegala Mountain pushing up into the heavens out of the valley like a giant sentinel guarding this ancient village.
Bask in the genuine warm smiles and hospitality of the farmer villagers of and be enchanted by the golden view of paddy fields, pepper and vegetable cultivations stretching for acres across the village. The natural beauty of this area will drive away all your weariness. This area possesses a large percentage of the country’s endemic flora and fauna for its relative size and can be quite challenging for the unprepared.
Head back to the hotel for some well-deserved rest and relaxation.

DAY 03 – KNUCKLES – KITHULGALA
After breakfast, your chauffeur guide will transfer you to Sri Lanka’s adventure travel hub in Kitulgala, where you can spend some leisure time in preparation for your action packed stay.
Kithulgala’s other claim to fame is as the location for David Lean’s academy award winning 1957 film ‘Bridge on the River Kwai’, where the bridge still stands and is quite a tourist attraction. Speak to your chauffeur guide for an excursion to the site as an additional option.

DAY 04 – KITHULGALA
After breakfast, try out an adrenaline fuelled white water rafting excursion down the Kelani River with a team of experienced instructors looking after all safety aspects.
Additionally, venture out on one of the many optional excursions such as a guided bird watching tour of the Makandawa Forest Reserve – a vibrant habitat for Sri Lanka’s lowland endemic bird species, or visit an adventure camp and try your hand at waterfall abseiling and many others on offer. Speak to your chauffeur guide to book any additional excursions.

DAY 05 – KITHULGALA – ADAM’S PEAK
Depart Kitulgala for Adam’s Peak, Sri Lanka’s most venerated mountain, and prepare yourself for a midnight climb up its 5500 steps to arrive at sunrise at the temple that houses and protects the sacred footprint of the Buddha. The view from the top is visually spectacular and makes for an unforgettable holiday memory.
The climb itself is quite a task, and we advise travellers to get as much rest as possible during the day, and pack up on the calories with a wholesome meal at the hotel, not to mention some light stretches, before attempting the climb.

DAY 06 – ADAM’S PEAK – NUWARAELIYA
After breakfast, head out to the colonial hill station of Nuwara Eliya – the heartland of Ceylon Tea, and called Little England due to its cool climes and misty mountains popular among expats in colonial times. En-route visit a traditional tea factory and visit the tea pluckers at work and learn how to choose just the right tea leaf.
After lunch, take a walk around the town and stroll through the park, or visit the picturesque little Anglican Chapel, the horse racetrack, and the beautiful old colonial style golf club for some light refreshment.
Lake Gregory, in the heart of the town, is a great place for a stroll and promises some beautiful picture settings in addition to the many public leisure activities offered along its banks such as boat rides etc.

DAY 07 – NUWARAELIYA – HORTON PLAINS - UDAWALAWA
After an early breakfast, depart for Horton Plains, and World’s End for an unforgettable trek through a unique biodiversity hotspot with rolling grassy plains and cloud forest, home to a wide variety of endemic flora and fauna.
Afterwards, travel to the Udawalawe National Park and arrive in time for lunch and an unforgettable evening game drive to see the large herds of Asian elephants grazing by the Udawalawe Tank with the imposing central highlands in the backdrop. In addition, you can also sight water buffalo, sambar deer, sloth bears, fishing cats, foxes, and the stunning peacocks engaging in their mating dances along the way.

DAY 08 – UDAWALAWA – GALLE – BENTOTA
Depart after breakfast for the sunny beaches of Bentota, and on the way stop by the UNESCO World Heritage Site the Galle Fort for a walk through its cobbled streets and quaint shops, restaurants, bars, and historical buildings.
Arrive in Bentota and visit a turtle hatchery and see the valuable conservation work first-hand, and later spend your day catching up on some well-deserved rest and relaxation on the beach while you await the stunningly colourful sunsets in the evening.

DAY 09 – BENTOTA – COLOMBO – AIRPORT
Having come to the end of an exciting and adventure-filled holiday, your personal Chauffeur Guide will drive you to the commercial capital of Colombo where you can indulge in some last minute shopping before catching your flight home.
We hope you will carry with you many happy memories and moments in Sri Lanka, and wish to see you again soon.
