Wild Surf Tour

Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be met by our English speaking chauffer / guide and be escorted to Trincomalee with a day excursion to Sigiriya along the route. Sigiriya is a fascinating UNESCO world heritage site with a magnificent rock fortress that can be enjoyed from its summit with spectacular views.

Your evening would be spent riding elephants or you can jet set on a jeep safari to witness the thriving wildlife of Minneriya National Park, after which would be driven to the beautiful coastal city of Trincomalee for the night.

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, you can indulge in well deserved relaxation away from the crowds and noise amidst the gentle roll of the waves and the golden sands of Trincomalee beach. You may also venture on a city tour of Trincomalee during the day; the city is home to a massive harbour, known as the he second best natural harbour in the world and the historic Koneshvaram Temple. You will also experience everyday local tradition and take a bath in the holy waters of Kanniya Hot Springs.  Your afternoon would be spent in leisure at the beach where you can enjoy the warmth of the sun.

The day would be spent in leisure to unwind your senses. The coast of Trincomalee is golden clear and palm-fringed with a mellow ambience making it a perfect place to relax or enjoy a good splash of water and an energetic round of surfing.  With a wide spectrum of water sports on offer, you can also go swimming into the clear blue waters and enjoy the ripples of the ocean with your surf board and just relax on the beach with a chilled tropical fruit beverage.

After breakfast in the hotel, we will escort you to Pasikudah, known as the safest beach for sea-bathing in the east coast. The sparkling clean waters, the beach and locality offers fine facilities as fresh water bathing and sea-water bathing along with numerous luxury hotels and restaurants. It’s a secluded beach which is well acclaimed for it’s peaceful nature and beauty and you can indulge yourself in a refreshing and uplifting sea bath amidst the gentle waves and the sands.

The day will also open up at your very own leisurely time where you can unwind with a chilled drink or coffee after an energizing breakfast. You can either sit and relax at the beach or hotel or take a leisurely walk along the sprawling coastline of Pasikudah which in all senses is one of the most beautiful beaches that this island can offer. You can also indulge in an excursion to Polonnaruwa where you may visit the timeless monuments of the once golden kingdom of Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka’s splendid medieval capital today is one of the most beautiful centers of this island’s cultural heritage. You will return to Passikudah for a relaxed evening.

The choice is yours to have either an early or a late breakfast as this day too unfolds with a lot of relaxation and unwinding your senses at the beach or by the poolside. You can spend some quality time alone or with loved ones, where you can unwind with a chilled drink. You may later opt to visit Passikudah Bay in which the tropical splendour of Passikudah endows one of the most enchanting beaches that opens up to scattered colourful coral reefs within a large spectrum of marine biodiversity. Later you can also indulge in some water and beach games. You will find a thrilling encounter with the fresh turquoise blue waters and enjoy the numerous water sports and games such as swimming, water skiing and wind surfing and be privileged to witness some of the tropical fish and crystal coral reefs.

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel in Passikudah, you will venture to Batticaloa. Simply known as ‘Batti’, Batticaloa, the former capital of Sri Lanka is blessed with three beautiful lagoons amidst lush greenery. Also known as ‘the land of the singing fish’, the city is so small; you can explore it completely by foot whilst absorbing the beautiful scenery. Its stunning landscape makes it one of the island’s most picturesque and scenic spots along with a beautiful golden beach. After a beautiful day of excursion of Batti, we will escort you to the Island of Arugam Bay.

Arugam Bay is Sri Lanka’s hub for surfing. You will be timelessly absorbed into the tranquillity and serene lifestyle of the town of Arugam Bay; let the day slip by while you enjoy the scenic beauty of the beach and enjoy a long walk or just sit by and relax the open terrains of this beautiful beach that unwinds itself to the beautiful blue sea that seems quiet and peaceful. You can also get a good doze of surfing lessons as per your request, on this day. You will be enthralled by the range of restaurants in the area, several of which are owned and run by expats, offering delectable cuisine.

Upon a day of relaxation, in afternoon you will be driven to Udawalawe national park, which stretches across the southern border of the central hills of the island, surrounded by the man-made reservoir of Udawalawe, an integral part of the park. The national park constitutes a gorgeous mixture of abandoned teak plantations blended into a thick growth of scrub and grassland.

Post breakfast, we will proceed to the hill capital of Kandy and en-route visit the gorgeous cool city of Nuwara eliya, where you will sea wide spread tea plantations and traditional tea pluckers whilst enjoying a glimpse of the Victorian lifestyle of the city.  When in Kandy, you may explore the magnificent Temple of Tooth and take a stroll in the beautiful city of Kandy which was home to many kings and was the last kingdom of Sri Lanka.

After an invigorating breakfast at the hotel, you will be escorted to Peradeniya Botanical Garden that is home to h a fine collection of over 4000 species of exotic plants. Known as the pleasure garden of a Kandyan King of the 16th Century it was later transformed into a Botanical Garden during the British regime. This garden is named one of the best in Asia and ignites authentic beauty and is a haven for bird watchers.

We will take you on an excursion to Negombo and its local fish market, which has an exciting buzz of life, anytime of the day. Negombo, a fishing town by birth is a gourmet’s paradise with plenty of choices in fresh seafood. It’s interesting to witness some of the age old fishing craft like the outrigger canoe and the catamaran transporting the day’s catch of seer, skipjack, herring, mullet, pomfret & amber jack, while lobster & prawn are caught in the famous lagoon within Negombo.

After breakfast on this day, you will be driven to the Colombo International Airport in time for your connecting flight back home.
